The Center for Community Engagement at Carson-Newman University aids the university in developing worldwide servant leaders through facilitating participation in community-centered initiativesWe provide servant-leadership development through scholarship programsacademic courses, and campus–wide service events.

Six8 Scholars: Founded on the Biblical principles of Micah 6:8, this scholarship program focuses on Biblical servant-leadership. Emphasis is given to committed service and academic development. Our goal is to build a community of believers making a kingdom impact across the local community and beyond.

Community Connections Scholars: Loving our neighbors is a part of who we are as Christians. This scholarship program helps students develop their skills in networking, marketing, and community engagement by working as a team to mobilize the campus of Carson-Newman in serving the surrounding community.

Bonner Scholars Program: The motto of the Bonner Scholars Program is “Access to Education, Opportunity to Serve.” Members of this scholarship program participate in service, training, and reflection. Bonner scholars share a commitment to be the hands and feet of Jesus, gather regularly for mutual encouragement, and equip each other for more effective service in our communities.
